Beth Henderson and Letty James here, modest authors of LOVING TRIXIE FINE.
As the heading above says, this novel is a combination of many things.
We have a heroine who is a Babyboomer, and a smart one when it comes to science. She has spent her life working in the lab. Once she hoped that work would involve discoveries and creations that would cure some of the ills of mankind. Instead she's been working in the beauty industry, though very successfully. Her ultimate success is about to enter the final testing stage, and while it's merely another wrinkle reducer to her mind, it is about to change her life -- drastically!
Because Beth and Letty both write romance separately (Beth rather tame things and Letty erotic ones), LOVING TRIXIE FINE needed a romance. The search for a hero netted a winner, even if he is twenty-five years our heroine's junior. So in a way, there are cougarish touches, though our heroine isn't so much hunting as giving in to a quite fickle fate.
And if this product -- ER-6900 -- is so great, well, of course the competition wants to steal it! Thus our bad guys enter the scene.

Lots of twists and turns kept Beatrice (nicknamed Trixie after her transformation, hence the title) and Zack running and this reader interested. I can totally see this book as a movie!"

MAGIC THROUGH CHEMISTERY Contest

You – yes, you! – could be chosen as a contributing idea person to the next episode in Trixie Fine’s ongoing story! (AND win a copy of the first book in the series, LOVING TRIXIE FINE, in the process, too!)
Here’s what to do:
Create a scenario where a scientist creates (on purpose or inadvertently) a product in their lab that totally changes them (or someone in their lab) physically and thus revs up their love life.
In LOVING TRIXIE FINE it was submersion in ER-6900 and an explosion that turned Dr. Beatrice Fine into the vav-va-voom Trixie Fine. This doesn’t have to be the way you dream up the scenario though.
You can create other characters and a different situation for Bea to encounter in the next loop of her new life. She’s still working to discover why her formula did what it did and wondering if one morning she’ll wake up and find herself reverted to what she was. You don’t have to worry about that.
What Beth and Letty want you to do is come up with something of your own. Just a brief scenario. It can be submitted in synopsis form or you can spin it out with dialogue and description if you want (just be aware that if you are the winner, we’ll be rewriting it for inclusion in TEMPTING TRIXIE FINE and there are no royalty sharing options here). You don’t have to be a writer to enter, just dream up the idea for us to possibly run with.
It can be contemporary, it can be historical, it can be alternative history like Steampunk (which Beth really loves), it can be sci-fi, it can be fantasy. Whatever suits your whimsy as you spin it.
Send it to us at TrixieFineContest@gmail.com anytime from February 9 through Midnight (US Eastern Standard Time) February 29. Try to stay within 500 words if you’re spinning out the entire scene.

Dr. Fine isn’t the first scientist to create a formula that takes over – Dr. Jeckle had that problem too, only he turned into Mr. Hyde. Bea Fine simply loses 30 years wear and tear, gets reshaped, and her love life kicked into high gear. You can come up with anything in between!
